Field of Design: Typographer
Started from the bottom :) began only looking into type design in year 3 of design degree.
Designed first type "Orbe" with Swedish Type foundary - Fountain.
Later designed "Azo Uber" "Catacumba" and "Aria" "Gesta" "Grafolita" under the Fountain.
Catacumba is inspired by the catacombs in Porto. Has Gothic feel. Ranges of styles within the family allows for different usability. The one for headers is Excelsa - its heavily decored, ornate and traditional-most like the tombs it saught inspiration from.

Rui Abreu also designed a video to present his typeface! :) He does this with a few of them too.
